About Our Orthopedic Rehabilitation Services

The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program addresses conditions and impairments of the musculoskeletal system, joints, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and muscles.  Some of the common problems that we see in the office are degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis of knees and hips, rheumatoid arthritis of hands, sciatica pain, muscle pain and weakness, rotator cuff tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.  We also specialize in the treatment of TMJ or jaw pain and successfully treat tension headaches.

Our orthopedic rehabilitation services are tailored to individual needs of each patient.  We take into consideration the extent of the injury, patient’s functional status and individual ability to perform exercises.  Then we design a treatment plan that will be most beneficial and safest for our patients.  We collaborate with other health care professionals, including orthopedists, neurologists and pain management doctors to provide the most comprehensive treatment.

Do You Need Orthopedic Rehabilitation?

If injured joints or muscles are affecting your mobility and overall comfort, you have many options to alleviate the symptoms and/or correct the problems. For example, physicians may recommend surgical procedures to tackle the aforementioned issues. Such treatment methods alone, however, do not always correct the issue entirely.

Let's say that you went through with a surgery and are now recovering. In most cases, the doctor might have told you to avoid any strenuous activities for the time being. Although staying relatively active is another way to restore one's overall functionality, individuals may injure themselves again if they accidentally pushed their bodies beyond their current limits. This is where orthopedic rehab specialists can help. Orthopedic physical therapists can prescribe treatment plans that are tailored not only to the injury but the recommended pace of recovery as well. This way, you can heal in the safest and most efficient manner possible.

Benefits of Orthopedic Rehabilitation Services

  • Collaborative effort:Treatment plan is designed according to patients’ individual needs, challenges, and goals to achieve the best possible results.
  • Maximize movement capabilities:Orthopedic rehab can help restore independence, pain-free movement and improve your overall quality of life.
